Lower back pain can take over your life. You may have already tried different treatments (approaches), searched youtube videos for perfect solutions to get rid of your lower back pain.
And if you are here reading this, you probably haven’t succeeded to your satisfaction yet.
So let me tell you: “You are not alone.”
If you are looking for a long term solution that delivers long-lasting relief, you are at the right place.
The first step to recovery is understanding what’s causing your pain—and how to stop it from controlling your life.

Why Clinical Massage is the Best Treatment for Lower Back Pain?
Whether your lower back pain is caused by poor posture, prolonged sitting, injury, or stress, it can have a huge impact on your daily life—making even simple movements feel uncomfortable.
If your lower back pain won’t go away, it’s time to take a different look at what’s really causing it.
In my time as a clinical massage therapist, I have worked with clients to help them uncover the cause of their lower back pain.
I hear you asking: ‘What’s the difference this will work?’
I take a holistic approach to treating lower back pain by addressing posture or alignment issues, your full history with lower back pain, and figure out triggers that might be making it worse.
How Clinical Massage Helps with Lower Back Pain
- Releases muscle tension – Loosens tight muscles and knots that cause stiffness and discomfort.
- Improves circulation – Increases blood flow to promote healing and reduce inflammation.
- Reduces nerve compression – Eases tension around trapped nerves, such as the sciatic nerve.
- Restores movement – Helps correct postural imbalances that contribute to chronic pain.
- Long-term relief – Unlike quick-fix pain relief, clinical massage with rehab exercises help prevent the pain from returning.
Many of my clients have already tried painkillers, physiotherapy, or relaxation massages—but nothing worked long-term. Clinical massage is a highly effective, hands-on solution that works by correcting muscle imbalances, improving joint mobility, and supporting natural recovery.

Violeta’s Story – Living with Pain After a Work Injury
In 2023, Violeta’s life changed in an instant when she fell down from a faulty desk chair and landed onto metal brackets. This caused lower back and rib cage injury with intense muscle cramps.
“Every day was a struggle—not just physically, but emotionally too. I couldn’t even lift a kettle without pain. My family life suffered, and I felt like I was losing myself.”
The pain was immediate—and relentless. Simple movements became unbearable, and even sitting for more than a few minutes was a challenge for her. She found herself trapped in a frustrating cycle of GP visits, hospital appointments, and prescription painkillers—but nothing truly worked.
After months of failed treatments, she turned to Google, searching for a different approach. That’s when she found Clinical Massage MK.

A Treatment Plan Built Around Violetas Injury
When Violeta first came to see me in August 2024, her pain wasn’t just in her lower back—it was spreading to her shoulders, hips, and glutes. She was exhausted, physically and mentally.
After a full assessment, I built a treatment plan focused on:
Myofascial Release (MFR): Loosening deep-seated tightness in her lower back, abdomen, hips and ribcage.
Trigger Point Therapy (TrP): Releasing the knotted muscles in her QL and gluteus that were referring to her lower back and legs.
Stretching, Strengthening & Mobilisation: Helping her regain movement and correct posture.
I explained every step of the process so she understood what was happening in her body and how we were working to fix it. Between sessions, I gave her simple but effective aftercare exercises—things like self-massage with a tennis ball and posture adjustments for her workday.
The Moment Everything Started to Change
“After my first session, I felt different. The tightness in my lower back eased, and for the first time in months, I felt like I was on the right path.”
By the third session, she saw major improvements:
- Less muscle tightness—her back wasn’t in constant spasm.
- Better movement—she could sit and walk without tensing up.
- More confidence—she went back to work, something she never thought would happen so soon.
Recovery wasn’t always smooth. Long hours sitting as a teacher caused setbacks, so we adjusted her treatment plan—adding ribcage release, abdominal massage, and movement strategies to keep her comfortable at work.
“Thanks to Pavol, I’ve gone from barely getting through the day to actually living again. I can move, enjoy time with my family, and do things I thought I’d lost forever. If only I’d found this clinic sooner.”
Violeta now comes in for maintenance sessions, and the constant pain is gone.

My Own Journey with Lower Back Pain
I know exactly how it feels to be stuck in constant pain—years ago, I injured my lower back at the gym which resulted in a herniated disk.
“The day after the injury, even the smallest movement hurt; sitting, standing, even lying down—I felt trapped in a pain cycle. Painkillers dulled the ache, but the problem never really went away.”
At first, I tried chiropractic treatment, thinking it might help. But instead of feeling better, my symptoms got worse. Frustrated, I decided to see an acupuncturist who also used acupressure techniques. This gave me some relief, but it didn’t last—it was more of a short-term fix than a real solution.
While I was going through all this, I finally got my MRI scan and went back to my GP. That’s when I was referred to physiotherapy. I know that NHS physio can be hit or miss, but I was lucky—I got a physio who actually helped. She gave me a few simple but effective exercises to do at home, and they made a real difference.
- Glute activation exercises to take the strain off my lower back.
- Core strengthening to give my spine better support.
- Postural awareness to stop me from making movements that triggered pain.
Alongside this, walking became a huge part of my recovery. It was the one thing that consistently made me feel better, so I moved as much as I could—small, frequent walks that didn’t push me too far but kept me mobile.
As I started feeling stronger, I slowly returned to the gym and playing football again. My confidence grew, and I realised how important movement, strength, and hands-on treatment were in breaking the pain cycle.
This experience changed everything for me. It led me to study clinical massage therapy, so I could help others avoid the long, frustrating process I went through. Now, I use that first-hand experience to help my clients get the relief they’ve been searching for.

Who Can Benefit from a Lower Back Massage?
Lower back pain can affect anyone, whether it’s from sitting too much, heavy lifting, old injuries, or just everyday stress. If you’re constantly stiff, in pain, or struggling to move freely, clinical massage might be exactly what you need.
You Might Benefit from Clinical Massage If You:
- Sit for long hours at a desk and often feel stiffness or pain in lower back.
- Do physically demanding work that puts strain on your back, hips, or legs.
- Have suffered an injury and still experience pain, tightness, or reduced movement.
- Feel like nothing else has worked—you’ve tried GP visits, painkillers, or other therapies with little relief.
- Experience nerve pain or sciatica-like symptoms that make sitting or walking uncomfortable.
Like Violeta, many of our clients tried multiple treatments before finding success with clinical massage.
She now recommends clinical massage to anyone stuck in chronic pain, unsure of what to do next:
“Thanks to Pavol’s treatments, I’ve gone from surviving to thriving. I can now move freely without pain, enjoy time with my family, and even return to social activities I had given up on.”
If you’re unsure whether clinical massage is right for you, take the first step by booking a consultation. Another client put it best:
“Book the video consultation to find out if Pavol can help. If it feels right, commit to the first session—then see for yourself. If the answer is yes, then fully commit to the treatment plan.”
Taking the first step is the hardest part, but once you feel the results, you’ll wish you had started sooner.

Your Questions About Lower Back Massage & Pain Relief
We get a lot of questions from people wondering if clinical massage can help their lower back pain. Here are some of the most common ones—answered!
It depends on what’s causing your pain and how long you’ve had it. Some people feel noticeable relief after a couple sessions, while others need a few treatments to see lasting results.
Chronic pain won’t disappear overnight, but you should feel progress early on. The important thing is to commit to the process if you want, long-term relief.
Yes! Sciatica pain is caused when the sciatic nerve gets irritated or compressed, often due to tight muscles, inflammation, or misalignment.
Clinical massage can help by:
- Loosening tight muscles that may be pressing on the nerve.
- Improving blood flow to reduce inflammation.
- Releasing deep knots and tension in the lower back, glutes, and hips.
Many of our clients with sciatica feel relief within a few sessions—but it depends on the severity of your condition.
We are not advocating the "No pain No Gain” mantra. The techniques and methods we use are effective without causing you more pain then you are currently in.
We always work within your comfort level and adjust the pressure so you can get results without feeling like you’re being tortured!
"I was worried the massage would be painful, but Pavol adjusted the pressure perfectly. It felt intense but in a good way—like my muscles were finally releasing tension." – Client Review
A regular massage (like a spa or relaxation massage) is great for general relaxation and stress relief.
A clinical massage is different because it’s:
- Focused on pain relief and movement recovery.
- Uses advanced techniques like myofascial release and trigger point therapy.
- Targets the root cause of your pain, not just symptoms.
Think of it this way: A spa massage is like treating the symptoms, while clinical massage is about fixing the actual problem.
If you’ve been struggling with lower back pain and nothing else has worked, this is worth trying.
Many of our clients felt like they had tried everything—painkillers, physio, GP visits—but still weren’t getting better. Clinical massage helped them find relief where other treatments failed.
